Abnormal Psychology Essay Example For Students

Abnormal Psychology Essay In a world full of fears, perhaps the worst one a human being should haveis that to be afraid of his fellow man. The human that should be mostfeared is the one that has Anti-Social Personality Disorder or in laymensterms the psychopath. The psychopath is probably the most deviant mindthat exists and treatment is not very successful because there is not a cureor drug to control it. The solution in my mind to control the problem ofsociopaths is to let them live in colonies with each other. Through myresearch I will develop an understanding of this personality disorder andconvince you the reader that my solution might be a viable solution. Thesociopath is a combination of other mental illnesses that are incurred inchildhood as a result of heredity, trauma and the lack of emotionaldevelopment. The lack of moral or emotional development which gives asociopath a lack of understanding for other peoples feelings whichenables them to be deceitful without feeling bad about whatever they do.The under developed emotional system as explained in the video TheWorld of Personality Disorders volume 5 says the sociopath isemotionally retarded . The sociopathic behavior problems that start as achild have links to heredity, a family with a pre-disposition to performcrimes, alcoholic parents that do crimes, irresponsible behavior thatpersists and parents that do not discipline. The child that will eventually bea sociopath exhibits certain feeling inside that they are inadequate, shamedand because of that they are teased and made fun of. The childcharacteristics of a future sociopath consist of being incapable offollowing the rules. The youngster will skip school, bully, steal! , tormentanimals, run away from home and the child is likely to develop AttentionDeficit Hyperactivity Disorder or AD|HD. At an earlier age than theirpeer group the child will smoke drink, do drugs, and become sexuallyactive. The diagnoses of Anti-Social Personality Disorder is not used forpeople under the age of 18. The Psychopath is defined in the dictionaryas a person suffering from, especially a severe mental disorder withaggressive antisocial behavior which is a nice way of saying a really badand mean person. There are many characteristics of a sociopath and eachsociopath has their own special traits. A sociopath gets great gratificationin the act of hurting someone for absolutely no reason. The behavior of asociopath is so close to normal it is extremely hard to diagnose. Asociopath is a person that acts against society and their sole purpose itseems is to act against the laws of the given land their end. The sociopathwill in most cases become violent and abuse drugs and alcohol to facilitatethe violent behavior. The violence in many cases is the result ofsub-concious decisions that might lead to murdering or assaultingsomeone for no reason. When a sociopath is attacking someone they willinflict more pain if the victim fights back. The lack of moral developmentlets the person feel no guilt or pain for what they did and quite possiblyfeel great about their actions. A sociopath has little self regard forthemselves and pays little attention to their own personal safety whenpicking fights. Quite often they will be outsized and get hurt. Somesociopaths are non-violent and stay out of prison by doing small crimeslike swindling and insurance fraud. It is possible that a sociopath willcome from a normal home but their are more that do not. A sociopath hasthe opposite morals of society and by doing things like beating up peoplethat are stronger than them they feel like they did something positive. Apsychopath is very reactive and will blow their cool because of little thingsand no doubt assault the person they are reacting to. There is a possibilitythat saratonin a chemical that is linked to behavior has something to dowith the disorder but is not the major cause. Love Argumentative Essay Example For Students

Love Argumentative Essay Benjamin Franklin once said, â€Å"If you would be loved, love and be lovable.† Love is something we are all in at least one time or another in our life. There are many different meanings for the word love and many people interpret it differently. Love as defined by Webster’s dictionary is a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. When you love someone you care not only care about them as a person, but also about their well being. When they are hurt, you feel hurt and when they are in pain you feel pain also. Their physical and emotional problems are not only theirs, but they are yours as well. To be in love means to care about that person so deeply that your life would not be complete without them. The fact that you cherish one person so much is a blessing to some, as well as a gift. The following fable tells of an orphan girl who had all the happiness in the world. â€Å"There is a wonderful fable about a young orphan girl who had no family and no one to love her. One day, feeling exceptionally sad and lonely, she was walking through the meadow when she noticed a small butterfly caught unmercifully in a thornbush. The more the butterfly struggled to free itself, the deeper the thorns cut into the butterfly from its captivity. Instead of flying away, the little butterfly changed into a beautiful fairy. The young girl rubbed her eyes in disbelief. ‘For your wonderful kindness,’ the good fairy said to the girl, ‘I will grant you any wish you would like.’The little girl thought for a moment and then replied, ‘I want to be happy!’The fairy said, ‘Very well,’ and leaned toward her and whispered in her ear. Then the good fairy vanished. As the little girl grew up, there was no one in the land as happy as she. Everyone asked her the secret of her happiness. She would only smile and answer, ‘The secret of my happiness is that I listened to a good fairy when I was a little girl.’When she was very old and on her deathbed, the neighbors all rallied around her, afraid that her fabulous secret of happiness would die with her. ‘Tell us, please,’ the begged. ‘Tell us what the good fairy said.’The lovely old woman simply smiled and said, ‘She told me that everyone, no matter how secure they seemed, no matter how old or young, how rich or poor, had need of me.’†(Canfield 117-118). People often confuse happiness with actually being in love. They think that because they are happy, that they are in love. When in fact for the most part they are just happy with the idea of being in love and spending the rest of their life with someone. Many people break up and get divorces. Sometimes it makes you wonder if they were even in love to begin with. So many times people rush into relationships and become involved way to quick. I once caught myself all wrapped up in a girl, that I forgot what was most important thing,†¦me. I forgot about pleasing myself and making myself happy because the whole time I was constantly doing things to please her. He claimed she loved me and was extremely happy, but in actuality I believe she was in love with the idea of what I could do for her to make her happy. She was not in love with me because love does not mean being selfish. When someone loves another person, they are not always concerned with what they can get out of the relationship; they are concerned with what they can put into it. Being happy with a person does not always mean that you are in love. I think you find this most in young relationships. I know in my case I thought that I was so in love and that I could never find that certain someone to make me feel the way that person made me feel. I was devastated for some time but come to find out years later, I was not in love to begin with. .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb , .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb .postImageUrl , .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb , .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb:hover , .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb:visited , .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb:active { border:0!important; } .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb:active , .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u2ccaa9cea4dcfda2f321d3f72281b5bb:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Opening an-inground swimming p EssayFor the most part when you love someone and you want to spend the rest of your life with him or her, you will know it. You know how people always say its just that gut feeling inside that makes them know for certain they are in love. The one thing that I have always wanted to be is in love. I want someone to love me unconditionally for me and who I am, not for my looks etc. That may sound conceited, but sometimes you see people constantly talking about so and so because of their looks when they don’t even actually know the person. I believe that the personality and morals of a person make them the most attractive of all. Just beca use someone has the looks and seems to have everything else going for them does not mean that inside they are happy with themselves. â€Å"Love is patient†¦ kind†¦ does not act unbecomingly†¦ is not provoked†¦ does not take into account a wrong suffered†¦ believes all things†¦ hopes all things†¦ endures all things. Love never fails.† (1 Corinthians 13:4-5,7-8.) When it comes down to it, we all just want to be loved.

How to Get Answers to Chemistry Questions

How to Get Answers to Chemistry Questions Students often ask How do I get answers to chemistry questions online? There are several ways to find answers and to ask chemistry questions and get them answered. Here is what you do. Ask Chemistry Questions and Get Answers If you have question you need answered quickly, your best bet is to go to an active online chemistry forum or even to ask the question on an active Facebook page about chemistry. Here are some options for you: About Chemistry on Facebook: This is the Facebook page for the About.com Chemistry site, which is now ThoughtCo Chemistry. You can post a question, which will be viewed by other people interested in chemistry.Ask a Chemistry Question - Yahoo Answers: The pro of using Yahoo Answers is that you might find the answer to the exact problem youre trying to solve. The con is that some of the people attempting to answer the questions are either students or else idiots. Usually you can at least get a good idea of how to approach a problem. Other times, youll get snarky non-answers.AssignmentExpert - Pay for Answers or Assignment Help: This site offers just under ten thousand free answers to homework questions. You can search for what you need or use the form to email your question. You get 1024 characters of space to ask a question. The site promises to charge a fair rate to answer a question, but doesnt say how much it costs. Dont forget to try other forms of social media. For example, you can ask a question on Twitter and may get a response (be sure to use the #chemistry hashtag for more visibility). You can use Facebook to find classmates. Message them and see if they know the answer to your question. Consider using social media to set up a study group if you have multiple questions. Visit your instructor during office hours, call him or her, or email questions. Search Answer and Worked Problems Chances are, if you have a question or a problem, someone else has asked it or at least has asked a similar question. If you cant get a live person to answer your question, then the next best thing is to search for the question and answer. My recommendation to you is to type your exact question into Google or another search engine and see what you get. You might get lucky! If your search is too specific, you can always make it more general until you get answers. Here are some online sites that offer worked problems and answer chemistry questions: Worked General Chemistry Problems: This is my personal collection of chemistry problems and examples, with links to review the subject matter.General Chemistry Questions and Answers (from Ask Antoine, a chemistry prof):Â  Antoine is an actual chemist. His answers are on point. He hasnt added to his list of topics in some time, but you can rest assured the information is accurate.Chegg Answers to Chemistry Questions (General, Organic, Chem Engineering, etc.): Chegg is a top-notch site. However, they are also a paywall site, which means you cant get anything for free. If youre struggling with chemistry but need comprehensive help, it might be worth buying a subscription.Answers to Chemistry Questions That You Should Know: This is a collection of answers to common general questions. Its useful if youre wondering how everyday phenomena work or are trying to explain a complex topic to someone else.Answers.com Chemistry Answers: As with Yahoo Answers, your mileage may vary with Answers.co m. Sometimes a competent person answers a question. Other times, not so much. Use this site to learn how to approach a problem, but dont always trust the answer. Science Notes: This is my personal site, which includes additional examples and problems not covered by ThoughtCo. Use the search bar to seek an example. If you dont find what you need, send me an email and Ill try to add the problem. There are other sites that may show up on search. Quora is even more likely to give you a wrong answer (blind leading the blind) than Yahoo, Answers.com, or Ask.com. Khan Academy is factual, but unlikely to help unless youre studying very basic chemistry. Tips for Success If Google cant find help for your problem, your best bet is to call or message a classmate or instructor or find one of these resources in person. Dont rely on email or posting questions to websites because the turnaround time (days, weeks, never) may be longer than you have.

Business Law and Ethics The Overview of Cases Essay

Business Law and Ethics The Overview of Cases - Essay Example Knutsen formed an oral contract with Signoff wherein Knutsen sold Signoff 30 head of cattle for slaughter. Signoff sent Knutsen a check for $9,373 â€Å"in full payment †¦ cattle, 30 head†¦Ã¢â‚¬ Knutsen claimed he was promised 34 cents per pound which would have earned $10,725. Signoff countered that he promised to pay based on â€Å"grade and yield,† a common industry practice. Knutsen cashed the check and then sued Signoff for the difference in price. Could Knutsen collect? In simple words, getting the check cashed means accepting the offer and the consideration that was made. If there were serious issues with the payment in this case, the check should not have been cashed ( Cross & Miller, 2011). Moreover, Signoff had promised to pay as per grade and yield, which in itself is somewhat an unclear term and does not specify the exact value to be paid to the seller. The seller is in a weaker position and cannot sue Signoff because for first, the check that was received in full payment was received and accepted hence cashed, and no specific amount had been promised as claimed by the seller. Only if the contract was clearer and precise mentioning the exact amount or if he had not collected and cashed the check (refusing acceptance) and if Signoff had not laid the condition of payment by grade and yield, would have Knutsen been able to sue him for difference in price. The case above shows that Knutsen is not in a position to sue Signoff. 3. Dr. Smith, the Cha irman of the Department of Pediatrics at a medical school, negotiated with Dr. Jones to hire Dr. Jones as a professor at a specified salary. Jones accepted the offer, put his house up for sale, and resigned from his current job. A few days later, Dr. Smith sent a letter to Dr. Jones, withdrawing the offer on the basis that some faculty member opposed his appointment and that any job offer had to be approved by the Dean of the Medical School; that is, Dr. Smith did not have the authority to hire Dr. Jones. Dr.
